Protecting water means protecting the future.
Issue
Water resource depletion and water quality deterioration are becoming more serious. Against this backdrop, reclaimed water usage and circulatory water management are becoming more widespread in industrial, urban, and agricultural sites. However, optimal operation is difficult due to high capital investment, operational burden, and lack of real-time monitoring and data utilization.
Murata's solution
We aim to leverage our highly accurate sensor technologies and data analysis capacities to lead to a reduction in operational costs through real-time sensing and AI analysis. Through this, we aim to contribute to sustainable water usage.

Issue
The amount of discarded electronic devices and other products containing valuable resources is increasing. Diverse materials and complex shapes make separation for resource recovery difficult. As a result, many resources are lost without entering the circulation loop.

Kanazu Murata Manufacturing Clean Energy Park
Through the Clean Energy Park, which opened in June 2025, we provide a showcase where visitors can experience how Murata's environmental products and pre-product technologies can actually be implemented in society.
The space here serves as an exhibition that allows visitors to visualize concrete solutions to solve environmental issues by utilizing actual data and systems. Instead of simply introducing our initiatives, this is a collaboration space to envision scenarios in which our solutions are introduced to the sites of customers and to work together to create a sustainable future.

We are developing technologies to efficiently extract and recover specific elements. We then enhance the resource value by converting them into single materials. We aim to achieve both economic rationality and environmental sustainability with this.

Water resources are becoming depleted, and water quality is deteriorating. Against this backdrop, there is increasing demand around the world for reclaimed water usage and circulated water management. Tougher regulations on PFAS and other harmful substances are also driving the introduction of such measures.
We are developing real-time water quality and flow rate monitoring using highly accurate sensors, efficiency improvements through AI analysis, and monitoring functions for PFAS and other regulated substances.
